About Dr. Welsh

Dr. Kathleen M. Welsh is a native of Northern California. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed specialty training in dermatology at Stanford University. Dr. Welsh is Board Certified in Dermatology. In addition to her Dermatology training, Dr. Welsh completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco and is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Welsh was Chief of Dermatology for The Permanente Medical Group in San Francisco for five years. She established and directed the The Permanente Cosmetic Dermatology program in San Francisco. Her concept has served as a model for the development of similar programs nationwide. Dr. Welsh frequently lectures on cosmetic and general Dermatology topics.

In addition to her solo private practice responsibilities, she also serves as the Medical Director for Surgical Dimensions/Monarch Laser Services. Dr. Welsh has additional specialized training in the use of aesthetic lasers for skin resurfacing, hair removal and the treatment of facial blood vessels and leg veins. Dr. Welsh is on the medical staff of the California Pacific Medical Center.
