Exilis Protégé

With each passing year, our skin loses the elasticity and “bounce” of youth, eventually becoming saggy and lax. Exilis Protégé is a skin tightening treatment offered at our San Francisco practice to help promote collagen growth and give skin its bounce again. This completely non-invasive treatment uses the power of radiofrequency energy to restore skin on the face and body without the need for an incision.

To learn more about how Protégé can help firm up your skin, request a consultation online, or call Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology at (415) 292-6350 to set up your appointment.

What is Exilis Protégé?

Protégé is an energy device which delivers radiofrequency energy deeply into the skin, enabling noticeable improvement in the tone and tightness of the face and body.

How does Protégé work?

Using advanced radiofrequency technology, the Exilis Protégé device causes the deeper layers of skin to contract and tighten. The device also encourages the production of new collagen to sustain your results.

Who is Protégé designed for?

Protégé is an excellent choice for people who want improved skin tone without undergoing surgery or other significant downtime procedures. Protégé is appropriate for people of varying pigments and skin colors.

What areas can be treated?

Protégé can reduce wrinkles and improve firmness on many areas of the face:

  • Forehead
  • Crow’s feet
  • Upper eyelids
  • Lower eyelids
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Jowls
  • Smile lines
  • Neck lines

It can also improve the contours of the body in certain areas:

  • Upper arms
  • Abdomen
  • Thighs

Is Protégé painful?

Radiofrequency treatments such as Protégé are quite comfortable, and patients seldom report sensations of pain or discomfort. After your treatment, you may experience some lingering redness.

How many sessions are required?

Typically, patients achieve optimal results after several sessions spaced about 1 week apart. Each patient is different, though, and your practitioner will be able to offer you a more specific timeline during your consultation.

Can Protégé be used in combination with other treatments?

Absolutely. Although it creates excellent results on its own, Protégé is often performed in conjunction with BOTOX® Cosmetic, laser treatments, and others to combine the benefits of each treatment. Your practitioner works with you to develop a treatment plan that precisely meets your needs.
